Start with a scene, not a genre
“Make a pop song” gives an AI music generator very little to work with. Try describing a moment instead: “A dreamy song for driving home after the rain, with soft drums and a hopeful chorus.”
A good first prompt usually includes three things:
- The feeling or story you want to express
- The energy, pace, or atmosphere
- The instruments or vocal character you imagine
Use the first result as a sketch
Your first generation is a starting point, not a final exam. Listen for the part that feels right—a melody, a rhythm, or a surprising texture—and use that discovery to guide your next idea.
Keep a small library of experiments
Save the versions that make you curious. Over time, your library becomes a map of your taste and a source of material for future songs.
“An intimate bedroom pop song about choosing yourself, warm guitar, gentle drums, and a chorus that feels like sunrise.”
