Start with the role of music in your edit
Before writing a prompt, decide what the music should do: establish a channel identity, add movement to an edit, or support a spoken story. That choice is more useful than picking a genre without looking at the video.
The examples below are starting prompts for exploring a musical direction. They are not audio samples, guarantees of a particular length, or a license to use generated music commercially.
For a channel intro
INTRO PROMPT
A bright electronic theme for a playful technology channel, a recognizable synth motif, crisp drums, and an optimistic feeling.
Listen for a hook you can identify quickly. A full generated track may contain an excerpt that works as an intro; trim it in your video editor. Choose an ending that feels deliberate rather than cutting a phrase in the middle.
For Shorts and quick edits
SHORTS PROMPT
An energetic pop track for a quick cooking montage, punchy percussion, a playful bass line, and a feeling of small wins.
Look for immediate movement and a steady pulse. Match cuts to moments that are easy to hear, but avoid making the music louder than speech or important sounds from the footage.
For travel and lifestyle videos
TRAVEL PROMPT
A warm indie folk track for a sunrise train journey, soft acoustic guitar, gentle percussion, and a hopeful lift as the landscape opens up.
Name the place or moment rather than requesting generic travel music. A quiet walk, a busy market, and a long drive each suggest different levels of movement. Choose the section of the song that fits the footage you actually have.
For storytelling and voiceover
STORYTELLING PROMPT
A restrained cinematic direction for a reflective personal story, soft piano, sparse percussion, and a gradual warm build.
Listen under the voiceover, not only on its own. If vocals or prominent instruments compete with narration, choose a different passage, lower the level, or try another arrangement. Leave pauses where the story needs attention.
